Get Into Rugby Is Back for 2026: Registration Now Open!
The littlest future Piglets are lacing up their boots, and there’s never been a better time to give rugby a go. Get Into Rugby registration is officially open for 2026, and the program is already underway at J.J. Connors Oval.
Get Into Rugby is the official entry-level format for children aged four and up — a fun, welcoming introduction to the game built around weekly skills and drills across Terms 3 and 4. It’s the perfect starting point for kids aged 4 to 8 to run around, make new mates, and fall in love with rugby in a safe, supportive environment.
More than just a bit of fun, Get Into Rugby empowers young players with the skills, understanding, and confidence to safely transition into Junior Rugby and beyond. Every drill and every game is designed to set them up for the years of footy ahead.
Two streams, the right start for every age
Get Into Rugby is built around two age-based streams, so every child learns in an environment that suits where they’re at.
Get Into Rugby Walla is for our youngest players, aged 4 to 5 years. Through small-sided games and activities, Walla introduces kids to the basic movements and skills of rugby — all non-contact, all about having a great time.
Get Into Rugby Tri Time is for participants aged 6 to 7 years. Tri Time keeps building those core skills while introducing contact-readiness activities and modified Tri Tag Rugby, helping prepare players for the step up to junior rugby.
What’s included
Every registered participant receives their very own Get Into Rugby ball, delivered by post — and because you’re part of the Jindabyne family, our juniors also score a free water bottle and club T-shirt to wear with pride.

Registration for the full 2026 program – covering sessions across both Term 3 and Term 4 – is just $49 per child. That price is heavily subsidised by Jindabyne Rugby Union Club, and it’s only possible thanks to the generous support of our incredible family of sponsors.

How to register
Getting your child registered takes just two quick steps:
- Complete the registration form and payment on the Get Into Rugby page of our website. You can register as many children as you like in a single submission.
- Follow the link we email you to complete your child’s registration through the Rugby Australia system. This second step is essential for insurance purposes and to receive your free Get Into Rugby ball — we’ll include a discount code in the email so there’s no extra cost.
Please keep an eye on your inbox (and your junk folder, just in case) for your confirmation, and allow a minimum of three weeks for your Get Into Rugby ball to arrive.
