GET INTO RUGBY
Give Rugby a Try in 2026!
Get into Rugby is the official entry-level format for children aged 4+ years. Join us for fun weekly skills and drills across terms 3 & 4, 2026 to give rugby a try! Perfect for kids aged 4-8 years.
Get into Rugby empowers participants with the skills, understanding, and confidence to safely transition to Junior Rugby and beyond.
Why Get Into Rugby?
Get into Rugby provides a space in which all participants can feel welcomed, and where regardless of experience or ability, can thrive and enjoy playing Rugby.
Who is Get into Rugby for?
Get into Rugby offers two age-based streams to ensure that participants are provided with developmentally appropriate environments in which to learn the fundamental movement and core skills of Rugby.
Get into Rugby Walla
Get into Rugby Walla is recommended for participants aged 4 – 5 years and involves small-sided games and activities designed to introduce participants to the basic movements and skills of Rugby.
Get into Rugby Tri Time
Get into Rugby Tri Time is recommended for participants aged 6 – 7 years and continues participants’ core skill development whilst also introducing contact-readiness activities and modified Tri Tag Rugby to prepare participants for junior rugby.
How do I register my child?
First, complete the form on this page to register and pay for your child’s participation. You can register as many children as you need in the one submission. We will then email you a link to the Rugby Australia registration system to complete the second and final step, which is necessary for both insurance purposes and to be able to send you the free Get Into Rugby ball. There is no cost to this second step, as we include a discount code in the email we send to you.
What is included in my child’s registration?
All registered Get into Rugby participants will receive their own Get into Rugby ball.
Jindabyne participants will also receive a free water bottle and T-shirt for participating.

How and when will I receive my ball?
Participants will receive their Get into Rugby football via post. Upon registering participants will receive an email confirming their order and an expected delivery date. Please check your junk mail in the event that no confirmation is received.
Please allow a minimum of 3 weeks from the date of registration.
How much does registration cost?
Registration for the 2026 program, which includes session throughout term 3 and term 4 if you wish to participate in all of them, is just $49 per child. This is heavily subsidised by Jindabyne Rugby Union Club, and is only possible thanks to the support of our incredible family of sponsors.
