The future of Jindabyne rugby is in very good hands.
On Thursday 24 September, players, families, coaches and volunteers packed into Jindabyne Bowling & Sports Club to celebrate the 2026 Juniors season. It was a night of big smiles, proud parents and well-earned recognition for a group of young players who gave everything for the club this year, on and off J.J. Connors Oval.
Our Under 12s and Under 15 Boys have shown real heart, skill and growth across the season. Presentation Night was our chance to say thank you, and to shine a light on the players whose efforts stood out.
Under 12s Award Winners
| Award | Winner |
| Most Improved | Pippa Clark |
| Best Forward | Rory Needham |
| Best Back | Marshall Pirozzi |
| Coaches Award | Leo Lewis |
| Players’ Player | Sergio Costanzo and Thomas Tripet |
| Leadership Award | Patrick Brown |
| Scholarship Award | Carter Harris |
The Players’ Player award is always one of the most meaningful on the night, because it’s voted by teammates. This year the Under 12s couldn’t split Sergio Costanzo and Thomas Tripet, so both take home the honour: a fitting tribute to two players their mates clearly love having beside them.
Under 15s Award Winners
| Award | Winner |
| Most Improved | Mason Marks |
| Best Forward | Zollie Gravenor |
| Best Back | Tynan Stewart |
| Coaches Award | Zach Tripet |
| Players’ Player | Harper Anstee |
| Leadership Award | Alby Heaney |
| Scholarship Award | Zac McRitchie |
It was a big night for several Under 15s. Zollie Gravenor, Tynan Stewart and Alby Heaney each collected a major award in the same season they brought up their 50th junior game, while 2025 milestone man Zac McRitchie added the Scholarship Award to his tally.
Our Littlest Future Piglets
We also honoured our youngest members of all: our Get Into Rugby participants. These future Piglets spent the last eight weeks learning the basics, running, passing and having plenty of fun along the way. Thank you to all the Get Into Rugby players and families who came along on the night. Get Into Rugby continues throughout term 4 2026, so it’s not too late to register. Register now for Get Into Rugby.
Celebrating 50-Game Milestones
Reaching 50 games is a serious achievement for any junior player. It takes seasons of early starts, cold mornings, training in all weather and plenty of support from families behind the scenes. We were proud to recognise the players who have brought up the half-century.

Juniors Club Person of the Year: Caz McRitchie

The night’s final honour, the Juniors Club Person of the Year – Shane Munro Memorial Award, went to Caz McRitchie.
This accolade is presented annually to an individual in recognition of performing above and beyond the call of duty normally required of a club member, someone who has worked for the benefit of the club tirelessly and without the expectation of recognition.
Junior rugby simply doesn’t happen without people like Caz, who give their time, energy and goodwill so that kids can pull on a jersey every weekend. It’s a thoroughly deserved honour. Thank you, Caz.
