Jindabyne Rugby Union Club has teamed up with Jindabyne Brewing to create a beer, Bushpigs Lager.
Bushpigs Lager was launched at the club’s Season Launch at Lake Jindabyne Hotel on Sunday.
Jindabyne Brewing’s Karl Veiss was on hand at the launch to announce details of the new brew.
“The club came to me in early 2020 with the idea, and I was only too happy to support it.”
Bushpigs Lager has initially been developed as a limited edition ‘seasonal’, with potential for a consistent brew in future.
Bushpigs Lager is available in 440ml cans, with a limited number of 24-pack cartons available for purchase online from later this week.
Bushpigs Lager is available on-tap exclusively at the Lake Jindabyne Hotel until sold out, with four-packs of cans also available through the Lake Jindabyne Hotel bottle shop.
In launching the beer, the club also announced a new sponsorship arrangement with Jindabyne Brewing. In 2021 Jindabyne Brewing’s range is the Official Beer of the Bushpigs.
This means that supporters can enjoy Bushpigs Lager at all Bushpigs home matches this season, along with a selection of Jindabyne Brewing’s other popular beers, such as it’s Pilsener and Golden Ale. The club’s first home match is Saturday 24 April, when the Lake Jindabyne Hotel Bushpigs take on their 2020 grand final opponents Taralga Tigers. Kick off is 2:30pm.
Proceeds from the sale of Bushpigs Lager are donated back to the club.
