JRUC is proud to launch an inaugural tradition: Past Pigs Day, happening on 18 April.
This special day is a celebration of JRUC history and the people who have worn the jersey across generations. In 2026, Past Pigs Day will mark:
- 30 years since the 1996 premiership
- 20 years since the 2006 premiership
- 20 years of Miss Piggies rugby
Whether you pulled on the Bushpigs jersey in ’96, the Miss Piggies pink in ’06, or played any year in between, this day is for you.
Expect a full day of connection and celebration: games, reunions, and a cocktail evening at Banjo Paterson Inn. It is a chance to catch up with past teammates, meet new faces, and celebrate what makes JRUC more than just a club.
The Soar Boars will take the field for the first time since 2023, with Mens & Womens golden oldies games against ACT Vets early in the morning.
Past Pigs festivities will move to the Banjo for a relaxed lunch to ‘warm up’ ahead of the afternoon’s Miss Piggies and Bushpigs matches at JJ Connors Oval against Yass.
Then it will be a dazzling evening cocktail affair at the Banjo for all players, friends and families – past and present – to round out the day’s celebrations.
