The Jindabyne Miss Piggies have finished the Women’s 10s Country Conference regular season in first place and claimed the Minor Premiership. Thirteen wins and one draw from fourteen outings, maintaining a streak that has spanned since the beginning of 2025.
An Unbeaten Regular Season
The Wildbrumby Schnapps Miss Piggies did not drop a game all regular season. They put up 43 unanswered points against Yass Ewes in Round 14 to close out the campaign in style, following two comprehensive wins in the preceding week’s gala day, winning 39–12 over Goulburn and 49–10 over Uni-North Owls. Yet the competition is closer than it may seem, with the 36–25 win over Braidwood only secured in the dying minutes, and two very tight tussles against Cooma, including a 24-all draw. This is a great local rivalry, with the teams a good chance of meeting again in back to back deciders if form and ladder places are anything to go by.
Eden Klemm leads the entire club in try-scoring this season with 21 tries. Tilhaney Grainger sits third across all grades with 14. Carlie French has crossed seven times. These are the players that have kept the scoreboard ticking week after week.
What the Minor Premiership Means
Finishing first means the Miss Piggies enjoy a bye this round, with a direct path to the Qualifying Final on August 1st. They will face the winner of Tuggeranong and Easts’ Suburban Conference Elimination Final this weekend. In the other finals fixtures, Cooma (2nd) hosts Bungendore (3rd) in the Country Conference Elimination final, with the winner to face Suburban conference Minor Premiers Goulburn on August 1st in the other cross-pool Qualifying Final.
The winners of each Qualifying Final will then play the Grand Final on Saturday August 8th.
